Bacterial Cell Biologist

The Ramamurthi Lab (The "Cell Biology Unit" in the Laboratory of Molecular Biology in the National Cancer Institute) studies protein localization and assembly of supramolecular structures during sporulation in Bacillus subtilis.

Enthusiastic applicants that are interested in studying the polymerization of a novel cytoskeletal protein and the subcellular localization of a membrane curvature sensing protein should send their CV directly to Kumaran Ramamurthi (ramamurthiks(at)mail.nih.gov), along with the names of three references (letters are not required at this time), and expected date of graduation, if applicable. Some experience with protein and/or lipid biochemistry is ideal, but not required. Keywords: microbiology, bacteriology, bacteria, cell biology, cytoskeleton
