T Cell Differentiation Controlled by Transcriptional Regulatory NetworkPosted by: National Institutes of Health (NIH)Posted date: 2013-Mar-07
Location: USA
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Molecular and Cellular Immunoregulation Unit (MCIU), Laboratory of Immunology, NIAID. The MCIU aims to address diversity, plasticity and functions of CD4 T helper (Th) subsets controlled by network of transcription factors. We utilize multi-color "reporter" and fate-mapping murine models as well as conditional knockout mouse strains to study transcriptional regulation during CD4 T cell fate determination in autoimmune, allergic and infectious settings (Immunity. 2012 Oct 19;37(4):660-73.; J Clin Invest. 2011 Nov;121(11):4503-15.; Immunity. 2011 Aug 26;35(2):299-311.; Immunity. 2010 Apr 23;32(4):507-17.; Annu Rev Immunol. 2010;28:445-89.) Please visit our website at We are seeking highly motivated and collaborative individuals capable of independent reasoning and excited about learning new technologies. The candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree but less than 5 years postdoc experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge in immunology, in vivo animal models, or genome-wide analyses of gene expression, epigenetic modifications and transcription factor binding using RNAseq and ChIPseq technologies. Previous experience in molecular and cellular biology is essential. The candidates should have excellent writing and communication skills. Underrepresented minorities are especially encouraged to apply. If you are interested, please send a short statement of your research goals, curriculum vitae, bibliography, and names and contact information of three references to Dr. Jeff Zhu jfZhu The NIH is dedicated to building a diverse community in its training and employment programs. |
