Biomarkers of Traumatic Brain Injury

This position will be focused on undertaking laboratory analyses of biomarkers related to brain injury, including proteomics and genomics. This position is in the brain injury unit of the National Institute of Nursing Research. This position requires the applicant to oversee all aspects of these projects and to work in a collaborative team.
Successful candidates should have or be very close to obtaining a PhD, and have less than two years of Postdoctoral experience. Applicants should have a strong background in biomarker research related to brain injuries. Experience in molecular/cellular biology and biochemistry are highly desirable. A demonstrated record of scientific accomplishment evidenced by at least one first-author paper, a strong work ethic, and strong intellectual commitments to biomarker research are essential. The successful candidate should also possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
