The Microbiology Service of the Department of Laboratory Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to be responsible for the daily technical management, oversight, and maintenance of the Sterility Testing Quality Control Program to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines related to the manufacture of cellular therapy, drug, and vaccine products for clinical patient care on the NIH campus. This work will be conducted in an exciting environment of dedicated scientists conducting multiple NIH clinical trials for improvement of patient diagnostics and treatment.
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences. Experience in some or all of the following areas is desirable: microbiology, real-time PCR, sterility testing, and clean room facility processes. Knowledge of CFR and USP regulations would be desirable. The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excel in attention to detail, organizational skills, and data analysis. The candidate should demonstrate an interest in providing and maintaining high quality microbiological control, assurances, and regulatory compliance, while managing a team of enthusiastic technologists to contribute to administration of novel therapies for patients at the NIH Clinical Center.
