The main objective of the SBIS is to assist in designing vaccines and antibody therapeutics against HIV and other viruses such as influenza and respiratory syncytial viruses. The selected candidates will collaborate extensively with experimental sections to develop new methods for computational vaccine and antibody design.
Trainees will receive a stipend commensurate with their experience and health insurance benefits. Successful applicants should be highly self-motivated and have a recent doctoral degree (obtained within last five years) in bioinformatics, computational chemistry, or a closely related field from a U.S. or foreign university. Applicants may be U.S. citizens or permanent residents; for a visiting fellowship, visa requirements apply.
