A postdoctoral position is available in synthetic chemistry/medicinal chemistry in the Medicinal Chemistry Core of NIAAA to study the role of endocannabinoid system in alcohol abuse related disorders. The project will involve the generation of new molecular probes and drug-like molecules for studying various classes of GPCRs. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative environment with an interactive team of researchers from diverse backgrounds.

We are seeking an independent, self-motivated, and enthusiastic candidate with a Ph.D. degree and less than 3 years of postdoctoral experience and a good publication record. Strong background in natural product synthesis, methodology development/organic chemistry is essential. Excellent experience in analytical chemistry characterization techniques is required. Additional experience in cell-based assays will be a plus. Qualified candidates must possess good oral and written communication skills. Tentative starting date is fall 2017. The salary and benefits are as per NIH regulations and commensurate with experience.
