One postdoctoral position is available in the Genomics Section of the NOB laboratory in its exciting translational, interdisciplinary research team. NOB seeks creative and bright individuals who have a keen interest in making a substantial contribution to the understanding of brain tumor biology. The Genomics Section employs translational techniques to examine the changes in molecular signaling associated with brain tumor development, progression, and drug resistance. Using clinical specimens, the research team is investigating the mechanistic basis that drives development of disease phenotypes and malignancy. Ongoing efforts also include studying the role of the tumor microenvironment in governing cancer malignancy as well as designing novel in vitro/in vivo models for tumor malignant phenotype.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., preferably in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, or related field, be near completion of degree requirements, and have no more than three years of postdoctoral research experience.
The NIH is dedicated to building a diverse community in its training and employment programs.
