Cancer Biology and Stem Cell Physiology

Position Description: 

A postdoctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Jatin Roper in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, at Duke University School of Medicine and the Duke Cancer Institute. We are located in a state-of-the-art facility in the Duke Cancer Institute, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Duke University is located in the vibrant and rapidly growing city of Durham, North Carolina, and close to numerous biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies in the Research Triangle Park. The laboratory is interested in studying mechanisms of intestinal stem cell function and colorectal carcinogenesis (Roper et al. Cancer Letters 2014; Beyaz, Mana, Roper et al. Nature 2016; Roper and Tammela et al. Nature Biotechnology 2017; Roper et al. Nature Protocols 2018).

Qualifications:

Interested candidates with Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degrees are encouraged to apply. Experience in molecular and cell biology, and human/mouse genetics is preferred but not required.
