A postdoctoral position is available in the Stem Cell Biology Group in the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, to investigate the regulation of the pluripotent state.
The Stem Cell Biology Group has previously identified a list of novel candidate genes that are important for ESC self-renewal in a large-scale RNAi screen, and is currently investigating their function in ESCs, iPSCs, germ cells and mouse development. Our studies so far have uncovered novel mechanisms in the regulation of the pluripotent state (Stem Cells 2012; Cell Stem Cell 2013; EMBO J 2014; Cell Stem Cell 2014; Stem Cell Reports 2016; Genes Dev 2016, Nucleic Acids Res 2017), and we will continue to pursue those directions. In addition, we are also carrying out high-throughput genetic screens and single cell analysis to identify and study other regulators in pluripotent and germline stem cells.

Applicants must have a doctoral level degree with less than five years of postdoctoral research. Experience in stem cell biology, development, or embryology is recommended. Competitive stipends are determined by educational degree(s) and number of years of relevant postdoctoral experience.To Apply:
