The Section on Physical Chemistry, Laboratory of Molecular Biology, NIDDK, NIH, (Felsenfeld Group), seeks postdoctoral candidates to undertake the development of algorithms and approaches for the analysis of large next-generation sequencing and other genomic datasets associated with long-range genomic interaction, genome location and distribution, inter- and intra-chromosomal contacts, generated by multiple ongoing experimental projects in the laboratory.
The successful candidate will be part of a team involving active collaboration with wet-lab experimentalists from the group. The current focus of the laboratory is on the role of CTCF and other proteins associated with organization of large scale genome architecture, interaction of those proteins with each other in vivo, and organization and content of nuclear substructures.Qualifications:
Experience in R, Perl, Python, C, Java or other programming language is required along with a working knowledge of Linux / Unix systems. Some training in biology is also desirable. Detailed understanding and experience in next generation sequence analysis, specifically ChiP and RNA-seq are primary requirements for this position.
