A fully funded postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Laboratory of Cellular Therapeutics in the Molecular Imaging Program at the National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, MD. This position offers the opportunity to expand future career paths by providing experience with photoimmunotherapy and cell therapy against cancers, in conjunction with in vivo cell tracking using positron emission tomography (PET) and other imaging modalities. Individuals with experience in immunology and molecular biology who are interested in studying tumor immunity/microenvironment are encouraged to apply. We are seeking self-motivated candidates with excellent communication skills and ability to publish results in a timely manner. The Molecular Imaging Program offers the unique opportunity to translate successful imaging and therapeutic techniques into clinical trials in the NCI. Applicants must have a PhD or MD within 3 years or be close to obtaining a doctoral degree with considerable laboratory experience and prior scientific publications. Prior experience in immunology, biochemistry and/or molecular biology, including experience with animal models of cancer, are preferred. Imaging experience is preferred, but not required. A track record of publication and presentations is important. Must be willing to work with animals and radioactivity.
