The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) conducts and supports a broad portfolio of basic and clinical research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent human diseases and infections. The Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry (LBC) within the NIDDK Division of Intramural Research (DIR) is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Natural Products Chemistry Section, LBC. This position will offer a unique opportunity to work at the interface of chemical biology, natural products and antibiotic discovery and target identification. We use a combination of chemistry, biochemistry, structural biology and genomics for the discovery of new antibiotics and determination of their mechanisms of action. Postdoctoral fellows are fully-integrated into basic-translational research with a range of collaborators in infectious disease. NIDDK has excellent training opportunities to interact with other laboratories and core facilities.Qualifications:
Experience with standard molecular biology techniques, including NGS library preparation
