Posted by: National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Posted date: 2019-May-30

Location: USA

Position Description:

The Section of Retinal Ganglion Cell Biology at the National Eye Institute (NEI) is seeking a candidate for a postdoctoral fellow position. The development of novel, neuroprotective glaucoma therapies are of great importance. We are interested in investigating the potential neuroprotective benefits of several factors as well as exosomes produced by different cell types, intending not only to better understand their mechanism of action but also, subsequently apply identified protective reagents as a glaucoma treatment.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with strong background in neurobiology, molecular biology, and/or cellular biology with less than 3 years of postdoctoral experience. Experience working with rodents and/or electrophysiology is a plus. Good oral and written communication skills are required.

To Apply:
