Epigenetics and Breast Cancer Risk

Position Description:

The Zahnow laboratory in the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins has an immediate opening for a funded postdoctoral fellow to conduct research into how alcohol alters the epigenome in breast tissue and increases the risk of breast cancer.

Qualifications:
  • Highly motivated candidates within 2 years of earning their Ph.D. are sought;
  • A track record of first author publications is favored;
  • Established experience in the areas of epigenetics, breast cancer, and bioinformatics is highly desirable;
  • Experience with RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, immunoblotting, mouse handling and surgery, PCR, cloning is desirable;
  • Ideal candidates should be independent and productive, intellectually curious, possess a passion for research, enjoy teaching others and be willing to work as part of a team to make important projects succeed.
