The Haase group investigates the ongoing conflict between mobile genetic elements (transposons) and their host genome by understanding how piRNAs (PIWI-interacting RNAs) are generated and specifically silence transposons.

We encourage interdisciplinary thinking and welcome applications from post-graduates and students with various backgrounds. Our current and previous lab members include engineers, biochemists, biologists and a math major. As an ideal postdoc candidate, you have a background in RNA biochemistry or computational genetics, and enthusiasm for diving into the 'dark matter' of our genomes. Postdoc candidates must have less than 3 years of postdoctoral experience.To Apply:
