Doctoral Grant by the University Research Fund (BOF) in the area of International Entrepreneurship
Job description
-
You prepare a doctoral thesis in the field of International Entrepreneurship. You will work on a project focusing on the motivational drivers explaining whether an entrepreneur aspires and expects internationalization, and whether (s)he is able to actually reach internationalization goals. Besides the impact of personality aspects, the project also attributes attention to firm and environmental characteristics; resulting in integrated 'fit' configurations of personality profiles and firm/environmental characteristics leading to actual internationalization behaviour.

You publish scientific articles related to the research project.

You contribute to teaching and research in the department of Management at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Antwerp.
Profile and requirements

You hold a master degree in Applied Economics, Business Engineering or equivalent.

You can submit outstanding academic results.

Students in the final year of their master degree can also apply.

Foreign candidates are encouraged to apply.

Your academic qualities comply with the requirements stipulated in the university’s policy.

You are quality-oriented, conscientious, creative and cooperative.

You are fluent in English (both written and oral).

You have experience with/have interest in entrepreneurship, internationalization and/or management related topics, in practice and/or theory.
We offer
-
a doctoral scholarship for a period of one years, with the possibility of renewal after positive evaluation. In total, the selected candidate can receive funding for four years;
-
the start date of the scholarship will be between October 1st 2019 and October 1st2020 depending upon the availability of the candidate and project requirements;

a gross monthly grant ranging from € 2.373,36 to € 2.516,73 (bursary);
-
a dynamic and stimulating work environment.

A pre-selection will be made from amongst the submitted applications. The remainder of the selection procedure is specific to the position and will be determined by the selection panel.

The interviews of the candidates, preselected by a selection panel, will take place in the week of September 2nd.
