Research group

The Vision Lab, an imec (https://www.imec-int.com/en/home) research group at the University of Antwerp (http://visielab.uantwerpen.be/ ), has unique expertise in the development of algorithms for reconstruction, processing and analysis of imaging data. The working environment is strongly interdisciplinary, combining techniques and insights from Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science. The group has a broad range of national and international collaborations with both academic and industrial partners. Recent Vision Lab publications on tomography can be found on: http://visielab.uantwerpen.be/research/tomography.

Project

Tomography is an image reconstruction technique that leans strongly on large-scale numerical mathematics, particularly linear algebra. Like X-rays, THz waves can give information about the interior of an object through interaction with the object. You will develop image reconstruction methods for 3D terahertz imaging and apply these to terahertz hardware technology developed at imec.

Job description
