The Department of Literature in the Faculty of Arts is seeking to fill a full-time (100%) vacancy in the Department of Literature for a
PhD candidate in the area of children’s literature studies
The candidate will be affiliated with the Antwerp Centre for Digital Humanities and Literary Criticism and contribute to the ERC-funded research project “Constructing Age for Young Readers.” The PhD candidate will carry out an empirical research project in which readers of different ages respond to children’s books and are brought together in intergenerational focus groups to discuss literature. The aim of the project is to learn more about the role of readers’ ages when responding to constructions of age in children’s literature and to explore how children’s books can contribute to intergenerational dialogue.
