The Faculty of Design Sciences is seeking to fill a full-time vacancy in the programme product development for a doctoral assistant in the area of Strategic Design.
You contribute to teaching and research in the field of Product Service Systems Design.
You will be assigned following lecturing duties: Product Research (Ba1) and IPO Project: Integrated Systems (Ma1). Furthermore you participate for specific aspects within the cluster of strategic design.
You will compete to obtain externally funded research grants.
You publish research results in international peer reviewed journals.
You will support the further development of the learning trajectory strategic design from the perspective of PSS and Service Design and you will organize the yearly Summer School on PSS.
Profile and requirements
You hold (or get during the application period) a doctorate degree (PhD) in Product Development or equivalent.
You possess proven design and product development skills.
You are quality-oriented, conscientious, creative and cooperative.
an appointment as a doctoral assistant for a period of three years, with a possibility of renewal for a further three-year period after positive evaluation;
the date of appointment will be 15 September 2020;
a full time gross monthly salary ranging from € 4.134,93 to € 6.446,00;
a dynamic and stimulating work environment.

Your application must be accompanied by a cover letter and a research plan, drawn up in the format of a junior project application, containing the avenues for future research.
A pre-selection will be made from amongst the submitted applications. The remainder of the selection procedure is specific to the position and will be determined by the selection panel.
The interviews of the candidates, preselected by a selection panel, will take place on 26 May 2020.
