Staff scientist on T-cell immunology
The Ogunjimi lab (part of the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Institute at the University of Antwerp) is looking for a strong post-doc that will take on the role of staff scientist in his team.
The Ogunjimi lab has a multidisciplinary approach on several topics within human immunology (mainly T-cell immunology) including virology and immunosequencing (all within a translational context).
Your mission will include
The main task (approximately 50%) of the post-doc will be the management of wet lab activities related to a recently acquired ERC StG on T-cell epidemiology. This will include the management of acquisition of patient samples (including PBMC, together with a study nurse), interactions with and management of biobank, the development of novel panels for flow cytometry after testing on CyTOF and the performance/management of antigen stimulation experiments in longitudinal assays. There will also be a close interaction with a post-doc in computational immunology.
However, as a staff scientist, the post-doc will also be involved in several other projects in the lab. You will be asked to manage, supervise and perform experiments related to our activities in rheumatology, immunosequencing and other translational research lines. You will also be asked to conceptualize and co-write research projects.

Candidates are invited to send a motivation letter, a detailed CV and contact info of at least two references (including email addresses and phone numbers) to Prof. Benson Ogunjimi (benson.ogunjimiuantwerp.be). Don’t hesitate to contact us in advance for more information.
