A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Laurie Krug, HIV and AIDS Malignancy Branch (HAMB), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH). The successful applicant will be part of a team focused on the mechanisms by which gammaherpesviruses influence oncogenic processes. Our lab is dedicated to applying animal models of disease to understand viral and host determinants of chronic infection by the gammaherpesviruses. The mission is to identify novel targets for intervention and prevention of human gammaherpesvirus-driven cancers.
CCR is working to solve the most pressing problems in the field through basic, translational and clinical cancer research to create the cancer medicines of tomorrow and is dedicated to preparing the next generation of cancer researchers.
